Auto enthusiast Nolen Niu took some time out from designing furniture and electronics for high profile clients to host Spike T.V.'s Framework, a furniture design and construction competition series where he judged whether or not something worked—physically and aesthetically. "You can have something that's well designed, but clunky looking and awkward," he says. "You'll be able to feel and sense it right away."
